   Islamabad  (/ɪzˈlɑːməbæd) ( Urdu: اسلام آباد‎, romanized: Islām Ābād) 14 August 1967 exactly after the   20 years of countries independence Islamabad officially became the capital of Pakistan. Karachi was the First Capital of Pakistan, which was selected by Muhammad Ali Jinnah. It remained the Capital until 1959, The President of Pakistan, Ayub Khan, decided to shift the capital from the coastal city of Karachi in Sindh to Islamabad in the north of Pakistan.
